I’ve found my venue, what happens now?

Once you have decided on your wedding date we can only hold the date on a provisional basis for two weeks due to high demand. After those two weeks have passed we require a decision. A booking contract is then sent to you along with our terms and conditions for a signature. 
A deposit of £2,000 pounds is required on the confirmation of the booking with 100% of pre-payment of the expected catering spend paid at least three weeks prior to the wedding date with any outstanding amount settled on the day of the wedding.

Some of my guests have allergies and intolerances, can they be catered for?

Hatfield House Hospitality prides itself on offering exceptionally high standard of catering and can showcase a variety of menus to tantalize the taste-buds. Dietary requirements can be catered for and when you meet with the Chef he will be able to talk you through the range of options available. Menus can be prepared to meet any youngsters who are also in attendance. Your personal wedding co-ordinator is on hand to set up any catering meetings or tastings you desire. 

Does your venue have on-site parking? And is it free?

On the day of your function the Hospitality team are pleased to provide complimentary parking for you and all of your guests. The car park is a short walk to the Stable Yard, Old Palace and Riding School.  

I just want the Venue and to use my own caterers, can I do that?

The Hospitality team and the venues themselves are incredibly flexible, part of what makes them so special, and you are able to hire the Old Palace for what is known as a ‘Dry Hire’ where the entire venue is handed over to you for the day, including the kitchens so that you could bring in your own caterers if you so wish. A Dry Hire is available on Sunday through to Thursday. Please contact the Hospitality team for further information.

I love the venue but would prefer a country wedding outside, is that possible?

The Hospitality team endeavour to do everything to make sure that your day is as perfect as possible and we have Marquees that can be hired out and constructed on the Queen Elizabeth Oak Field. Due to this being inside the estate with public access this is subject to availability so please contact the Hospitality team as soon as you have a date in mind for further details.

I’ve hired your venue, when can I start setting up?

Your chosen venue is available from 9.00am on the day of the wedding until
Midnight, with the bar closing and music finishing at 11.30pm.  Should you wish to extend the party an extension is available until 1am (with the bar closing at 00.30) at an additional charge of £450.00 plus vat. We will ask you to bring your table plan, name cards, favours, table decorations and any other item two days before the wedding. We will then set up everything on your tables so it is all ready for you when you arrive on the day.

Apart from beautiful settings, great food and an amazing venue, what else comes included?

The provision of white napkins and tablecloths are included within the menu prices quoted.  Specialist equipment may be hired at an additional charge. Hatfield House has an easel for your table plan as well as table numbers and stands for you to use.
We have 2 cake stands available on site and can provide one of these at no extra cost, providing it is available on the date of your wedding when you request it and that it matches the size of your cake. We can provide a knife to cut the cake. Battery operated candles are allowed in both the Old Palace and Riding School. The long tables can be replaced with round tables in the Old Palace at an additional charge. Both the Old Palace and Riding School have a PA system for your use.  Microphones are available for your speeches and music can be played from a CD or IPod during your wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast. 
Unfortunately, confetti, rice or petals of any type is not permitted in the grounds / gardens outside the venues and fireworks/drones are not permitted anywhere on the grounds.  Candles/Tealights are not allowed but battery operated candles/tea lights are permitted in the Old Palace and Riding School. 
The Hospitality team is available at any time to answer your questions or if you require any advice. However, all details will be discussed with your wedding coordinator in a meeting 2 months prior to the wedding. We will contact you approximately 3 months before the wedding to set a date for the meeting with you.
