You can party the night away in the magnificent 15th century Old Palace. The Old Palace is a Grade I listed building built in 1485 by the Bishop of Ely and was used as a nursery for King Henry VIII’s three children in 1538. A historic venue most famous for where Queen Elizabeth I held her first council of state its medieval brickwork, beautiful wall hangings and stunning gardens makes it a perfect setting for any event. The Old Palace can accommodate up to 250 guests.

Alternatively, with exclusive private hire, festive 3-course meals and cocktails, you can celebrate Christmas in The Riding School, situated in The Stable Yard. The Riding School is our alternative modern venue with high glass ceilings, and a mezzanine floor perfect for drinks receptions, whilst still being surrounded by the history of Hatfield House.
